Creating your best life using the Law of Attraction or Law of Assumption (Neville Goddard) is all about your dominant feeling state. You attract what you feel, not what you think or say to yourself.

This is the main reason many people don’t have success with affirmations. You can state an affirmation repeatedly but if you don’t feel the emotions associated with the affirmation, you will get what you’re really feeling. For example, say you are using the affirmation “I now have my dream job as an airline pilot” but you believe that you could never pass the tests and exams, you probably won’t become a pilot because your dominant feeling state is one of doubt or expectation of failure, so that is what you attract .. failure to be a pilot.

However, if you use that same affirmation with the jubilant feeling of having already been a pilot for a year or more, experiencing the thrills of a life as a pilot, then provided you don’t allow doubt to creep in, then your success is virtually guaranteed. Neville Goddard calls this state, Living in the End i.e.. see yourself having already accomplished your desire.

The Emotional Guidance System by Abraham, channeled by Esther Hicks*, guides you to identify your current your vibrational / emotional state and shift it to a higher one. In this way, you keep reaching higher emotional states which in turn attract higher, more loving experiences. Like attracts Like: you cannot attract  wonderful experiences if you are continually in a negative state. You have to shift to the highest state you can .. on a continuous basis.

How to use the Emotional Guidance System

Using the diagram above, locate your current feeling set point. For example, say you happen to be feeling depressed, this feeling lies in the lower half of the spiral. There is no judgement about this – it is simply where you are in your dominant feeing sense in this moment. Now choose an emotion higher up in the scale the you can easily relate to, or imagine feeling, for example gratitude. Start to imagine feeling gratitude within your being, with as much focus as you can. Allow your thoughts to drift to all the things you are grateful for and how it feels. Do this for at least 17 seconds, longer if possible. For best results, focus on your chosen emotion until you feel a shift, or you feel ready to choose another emotion.

Focusing your feelings and thoughts for at least 17 seconds creates momentum and begins to attract other similar feeling thoughts. The more momentum that is created, the more the feeling of gratitude takes root in your energetic field and changes your energy state.

Writing is another extremely useful tool that engages the conscious and subconscious minds, emotions and body. Write down everything you can about, for example, gratitude and what you’re grateful for. Write as much as you can. You will soon feel yourself shift into a better state.

As you practice this technique on a regular basis you will notice that you can quickly catch yourself the moment you feel yourself in a negative state and immediately transform it. Do this consistently and watch with amazement how your external world begins to change around you. You have this power within you to create a life of miracles and joy!
